About Us

What is RHA?

RHA is the leading national organization advocating for the interests and welfare of residence hall students, while also providing opportunities for their personal growth and development.

It is an organization of students committed to developing leadership, honoring diversity, recognizing achievement, promoting scholarship, as well as stimulating engagement and involvement among students who reside in the residence halls.

Four Pillars

Advocacy

RHA has the opportunity to work on behalf of the residents to communicate with the Administration, Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR),  and the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) about important issues. Should any Residents have concerns, they should contact their local RHA Hall President living in their Residential Community.

Programming

RHA provides programming for the on campus population through many fun and exciting events for residents. RHA does so through a large variety of events covering the areas of social, educational, community service, and cultural. The best part is they are completely free and take place all over campus! We are always looking for volunteers to help out with the programs! Talk to the Director of Programming for more information.

Leadership Development

RHA creates opportunities for residents to become involved in their community. RHA enables residents to take on leadership roles and have a voice regarding issues in their halls. There are weekly General Council meetings at which any resident can come to talk about and discuss issues that affect the residents.

Regional Involvement

RHA provides leadership opportunities on a national level as an active member of the Inter-Mountain Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls (IACURH) and the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH). Each resident at ASU West has the opportunity to attend numerous leadership conferences each year, on the regional, state, and national levels. Regional Involvement is a great opportunity to network with people from across the world while gaining valuable leadership and programming skills that have a significant impact on our campus. For information on how to get involvement regionally, contact the Director of NACURH Communications.
